Jade Ocampo
Growing up in Chicago’s Belmont Cragin neighborhood, Jade Ocampo never imagined that her post-high school journey would take her into the world of quantum research, professional engineering societies, and national internships.
Jeff Min worked as a professional writer before coming to City Colleges of Chicago, where he’s worked for the last 14 years. After working in several departments at various City Colleges, he found his way to academic advising at Kennedy-King College.
Having attended a community college himself, Jeff is able to use his personal experience as he advises students on their college and career goals. In addition to helping them choose their programs and register for classes, he wants to connect them to useful resources and serve as a trusted guide.
“The most rewarding part of my job is the relationship building,” Jeff said.
Jeff likes to meet his students where they’re at and is an avid supporter of Kennedy-King College athletics. Because of his commitment to cheering his students on, he was recognized with a City Colleges’ Luminary Award in 2024.
