Malcolm X College, in partnership with the Chicago Westside NAACP, invites students and community members to an intimate fireside chat focusing on wealth-building, financial literacy, and pathways to long-term economic empowerment.
This engaging conversation will explore practical topics such as money management, investing, entrepreneurship, and emerging financial trends, offering accessible insights grounded in real-world experience. Attendees will hear from accomplished leaders with deep community ties who bring diverse perspectives from finance, technology, strategy, and advocacy.
The panel features Tonisha Hood, a Chicago-based marketing leader with more than 15 years of experience helping organizations build meaningful connections and sustainable growth; Noelle Curtis, entrepreneur, fintech founder, and fund manager dedicated to expanding equitable access to capital for small businesses; and Victoria Watkins, a respected financial sector leader and attorney known for her work in government, institutional leadership, and long-term wealth-building strategies.
The conversation will be moderated by Remel Terry, civic leader, policy advocate, and President of the Chicago Westside Branch NAACP, whose work centers on equity, economic empowerment, and community accountability.
Together, the panel will create a dynamic and accessible dialogue designed to inform, inspire, and equip participants with tools and perspectives to support financial stability for individuals, families, and communities.
