Teresa Guia

Teresa is a transition specialist for Adult Education students who exemplifies excellence and hope in the work she does for students and co-workers. She serves a number of students who are navigating poverty and environmental barriers, and makes each one of them feel hope through the special detailed and focused student services she provides, utilizing campus resources to aid them in success. For example, Teresa works outside her work schedule, connecting students to needed resources to resolve medical, transportation, and educational progression issues. Teresa also frequently participates in CCC volunteer efforts to make the community a better place. Every holiday, Teresa – out of her own personal expenses – decorates the office area to encourage fellow staff. She has proven herself as a community college champion for students, faculty, and staff alike. She is an educational leader who will give her time for students, families, and staff in order to support our CCC vision of success.
