Terrence Franks is not only a soon-to-be Sarah E. Goode STEM Academy graduate, he is about to earn his Associate Degree in Computer Science at Daley College. This fall, Terrence is on his way to Georgetown University with a full scholarship to pay his tuition, room, and board.

Terrence was initially intrigued by Goode’s excellent academic reputation as well as the Early College program it had in partnership with Daley College. The idea of earning college credits while he was still in high school sounded great, and he earned both degrees as he captained the football team at Goode, and was part of the National Honor Society, BOSS Organization (Black Outstanding Successful Students), and a leadership program called “Elites.” His excellent grades also earned him a place in Daley College’s Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society.

As a budding entrepreneur, Terrence looks forward to studying business administration at Georgetown, where he starts classes online this summer.

His advice to other students about the Early College program: “It’s worth it. You get a college degree while you’re in high school. Take advantage of it if you are willing to work hard.”
