When Alan Huerta was looking at high schools, Sarah E. Goode was appealing because of its Early College partnership with Daley College.
Summer Baptiste graduated from both City Colleges of Chicago and Kenwood Academy High School in May 2018. Thanks to the Early College program, she took enough college courses while she was still in high school to get her associate degree.
“My experiences not only in the high school setting, but in the college environment encouraged me to embrace challenges.”
Summer is now on her way to getting her bachelor’s degree at UIC, where she wants to prepare for a career as a math teacher.
