Daniela Zuniga Benitez

Daniela Zuniga Benitez graduated from Harold Washington College in Spring 2017 as part of the first graduating class of Star Scholars. A first generation college student, Daniela says that without the Star Scholarship, she isn’t sure how she would have funded her education. When asked what advice she would give students preparing to start at City Colleges of Chicago, she says to make sure you work with your advisor to make sure your classes transfer to where you want to go, and take advantage of the classes offered.

Daniela says she will miss the diversity at City Colleges and getting to know people from all different backgrounds, which really added to her college experience. Daniela will be continuing her education at Elmhurst College in Fall 2017 having received a full scholarship, and plans to double major in biology and psychology to eventually become a school psychologist.
